CHRISTMAS 2008
Since my candidates did not win the election, I woke up November 5 with a BAH_HUMBUG attitude. The thought of Christmas was not on my mind, only how sorry I felt for myself , John and Sarah. What a blow it must have been for them after working so hard.
But now it is December. Jingle Bells is playing every where. Salvation Army pots are in front of every store I go to. We got our first Christmas card on November 29. My e-mail box is full of "once -in-a-lifetime" bargains from Best Buy, Walmart, Kohls, JC Penney, Macys, Dillards and Home Depot.
Things seem normal for December as I lay down for my afternoon nap. I don’t want to miss my nap because science has determined that naps improve your memory and I need all the help I can get.
Then again, I need to forget some things. Things like Obama appointing his bitter enemy Hilliary Rotten Clinton as Secretary of State for the United States of America.
Makes me wonder. As Hill travels around the world spreading good cheer, will Willie accompany her or will he be left to plow for himself?
ORRRRRRRR!!!!!!! Will Willie replace Hill as the Senator from New York??? Wow! What a racket!!. Willie now draws pay as ex-President plus an unlimited stipend. When Hill retires as Senator, she will draw her Senate pay plus Secretary of State pay and Willie will start drawing Senate pay, also. THIS HAS TO BE THE ULTIMATE IN DOUBLE-DIPPING!!!!!!
I think I am going to be sick. Long live medicare.

Life goes on
Life goes on.
The election has come. The election has gone.
The sun came up on time this morning. The sun set on time this evening,
The TV and radio still work. Time has not stood still.
That guy in the mirror looks the same, just older and a little sad.
But life goes on.
God is still in control. God is wiser than I. God has his plan and he works his plan.
I know he hears my prayers but HE knows what tomorrow will bring. I do not.
HE knows what is best for me. I do not.
Life goes on.
I went to church this morning as usual. I heard a wonderful sermon on THE PRESENCE OF GOD. I felt good. I was not harassed or criticized or belittled. Nothing has changed.

A Hug
An unexpected hug
Each month six or more couples from church meet at a restaurant for dinner and visiting.
Our dinner for October was Friday night-----HALLOWEEN NIGHT.
As is our custom, my wife, Clarene, and I dress for the occasion.
I bought a Batman mask, cape, shirt and one of his famous Batman flashlights. Clarene went as Catwoman.
Needless to say we created quite a stir when we entered the restaurant and got numerous comments while eating dinner.
But the highlight of my evening came after dinner.
I decided to walk through the diners and stopped a several tables to ask "Have you seen Robin? I loaned him the Batmobile and he was supposed to pick me up."
Well, the answer was "No!" of course.
I stopped at one table where a couple and their two little boys were eating. One boy was about eight years old and I asked him if he had seen Robin. He said NO but I could tell he was pretty excited at seeing Batman face to face.
I continued on the the rest room. Then I went back to the little boy’s table. I shined my Batman flashlight on the table and he really got excited and he asked me "Can I have it? Can I have it?" I had not expected to lose my flashlight like that, but I said "Sure you can".
I continued on and went out the front door. As I stood there talking, the little boy and his father came out the door. His father said "He wants to thank you. You just made his day".
He did thank me and then gave me a hug, and MADE MY DAY!!

An American President-or something else
Today is Halloween 2008. Oh joy. Only 4 days to election day. This should be a momentous occasion for ALL Americans. Being elected President is the dream of thousands. And this year it would be nice to have two bonafied American heros vieing for this greatest of manmade honors.
However, it is not to be.
We do have one hero, a real American, one who has served us well all his adult life, a patriot , an individual with a strong desire to be our leader in these trying times.
Unfortunately, we have one who is not a hero, not even a good American, one who hates our flag, hates the Star Spangled Banner, and refuses to pledge allegiance to United States, but has a silver tongue, smooth with words but no substance, promising wonderous changes. Burp.
Our president is Commander-in-chief of our armed forces. How could one so un-American be elected President???
Think about it.

Looks like a duck
I was sitting here contemplating Joe Biden’s remark about a duck. He said if it looks like a duck, walks like a duck, and quacks like a duck, it must be a duck.
Then I thought about Donald Duck, the movie star. Donald walked like a duck, looked almost like a duck, but he didn’t talk like a duck, because Donald was not a real duck.
He was really nothing but ink on a piece of paper, a figment of Disney’s imagination. At the movies we allowed ourselves to be mesmerized and entertained by this talking duck, but we knew he was not a real duck.
Joe’s remark kept bugging me. Then I noticed this flock of black birds all over my trees and backyard. They were grackles, hundreds of them, and they all look alike.
That reminded me of the adage "Birds of a feather flock together".
Then I thought of Obama, and Ayers, and Wright, and Farakon, and Kenya, and Muslims, and the thought of birds of a feather flock together.
Then, there is the proverb "A man is known by the company he keeps".
I think all this and then I hear that Obama, who has "hung" out with these buddies most his adult life, is not like them. But birds of a feather..........
Excuse me if I am confused. I hear him refer to his Muslim faith, and..oops, I mean Christian faith. He sat in the pew listening to Mr. Wright spew hatred for America for 20 years, but he never heard him say those hateful words.
Yet he espouses to love America and want to change it. Change it how? America, the greatest nation on earth, and he want to change it. How?
Excuse me if I am confused.
It seems we have a Trojan horse in our midst. Americans are all fascinated by this orator with wonderful sounding words with no substance. Come the night the enemy from within the horse will be unleashed, and our party will be over.
We have been inundated by HATE since the Vietnam war. Hate for good, hate for our military, Hate for America. Since 2000 hate has consumed the radicals, the media, Hollywood nuts, and the liberal Democrats. Hate for our president, hate for America---just hate-hate-hate.
Slowly our moral, Christian, ethical attitudes and love for America have been destroyed.
Some call it THE FROG THEORY.
If you drop a frog into a pot of boiling water, he will immediately jump out. However, if you put a frog in a pot of cold water, slowly heat the water, he doesn’t realized he is being cooked UNTIL it is too late.
Are we too late?

Are you mad yet????
In Ohio, large numbers of homeless people got free van and bus rides to register. Shelby Holliday, a reporter for Palestra.net, filmed ACORN shuttling in some prospects. She told me she spoke with one homeless woman who said ACORN "told her who to vote for if she wanted a 'better life,' and told her not to worry about jury duty (one of the reasons this homeless woman didn't want to register) because the government probably wouldn't be able to track her down. She was registering with a temporary address."
Holliday interviewed another homeless man targeted by the registration drive who exulted that he was voting for Obama because "I want him to do his thang. You know, do his thug thizzle."
"Thug thizzle" is street slang for performing your trademark move. Obama and ACORN have practiced their thug thizzle together for years: Organizing an ever-expanding community of ineligible and marginal voters to expand the Democrat power base. Rules be damned.

Joe biden
Hi there.
My name is Joseph Robinette Biden, but you can call me Joe. I am the senior senator from the Great State of Delaware. Delawarians love me, and have been electing me their Senator for over 30 years and I am running for re-election one more time.
I am also running for Vice president of our beloved United States with my good, dear friend Barack Hussien Obama, who is striving to be elected the first black President of our beloved United States.
I ran for President of our beloved United States in 1988 when I was much younger and unknown so I was unsuccessful, but I remained undaunted, because I believed it was my destiny to be President of our beloved United States .
So I Bidened my time for the next 20 years, learning about the innards of Congress, how to spend your money 00Ps, sorry. I meant learning how to do the best thing for our beloved United States .
2008 was to be my year so I started running again. Unfortunately, some others thought it was their year also and along came her Highness Hillary and Barack Obama. (I call him BO for short. Don’t know why. It just seems to fit) So I lost out again, but not before I got my licks in about Hill & BO.
After saying the things I did, you probably think I would say anything to be elected. But trust me, that’s not true. I just changed my mind and everybody has a right to change their mind. You remember I said BO was too young and inexperienced to be President and I meant it when I said it. It was not a racist thing, just a matter of fact. But when he won the Democrat primary and picked me as his running mate, I then knew "this is one brilliant man". So, now, when we are elected I will be just one heartbeat away from fullfilling my childhood dreams.
Did you see what I did to that Palin woman in the debate? wow! Was I good or not?
With all my knowledge, wisdom and charisma, it was no contest. Like taking candy from a baby Did you see me grinning. I was so proud that I was at my arrogant, domineering best..Yeah, I know I had to lie a lot, but I knew my adoring fans would not know the difference, and if they did they would forgive me. As one fan said "I know he lies a lot, but, DADGUMIT, that’s just old Joe, BLESS HIS HEART!"
Some of you may be wondering what BO and I are going to do for you when we are elected.
Well, I will tell you. WE are going to make all of you PATRIOTIC AMERICANS.
We believe paying taxes is patriotic. So. bless your heart, we are commited to you and to our beloved United States. Actually, and I have to be honest, so trust me when I say this,
only the fatcats, the upper 5% will have their taxes increased. BO has said that we, the middle class, will. pay less.

Enigma
enigma - something that baffles understanding and cannot be explained
I am experiencing an ENIGMA.
We are in the middle of an election campaign.
We are in the middle of a financial crisis.
My enigma is this:
1. We have a 44 year old woman running for vice-president who has been the reform mayor of a small town and is currently a very successful reform governor of a state with a 68% approval rating. By any measuring stick this qualifies as EXPERIENCE. Reagan was a governor. Clinton was a governor. Bush was a governor. But the media keeps saying she has no experience and is not qualified to be vice-president or president.
2. We have a 45 year old man running for President who has been a "Community Organizer", a state senator with no voting record or accomplishments, a US senator for 20 months with no voting record or accomplishments, 19 of which he has been running for president. By any measuring stick this qualifies as NO EXPERIENCE. But the media has ordained him as next PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES AND SAVIOR OF US ALL.
3. The woman has limited foreign policy experience and is condemned for it.
4. The man has limited foreign policy experience, but it is never mentioned and is no problem.
5. The financial crisis HAS BEEN CAUSED PRIMARILY BY GREED COUPLED WITH GROSS AMOUNTS OF STUPIDITY. By law, passed by our beloved Congress, Banks, Fannie & Freddie and others were FORCED to make loans for houses and small businesses, many recipients of which were totally unqualified and unable to pay back the loans.
6. Part of this blame goes to an organization called ACORN, the Association of Community Organizations for Reform Now . ACORN threatened, intimidated, and bullied banks and savings and loans to make loans to unqualified persons. They successfully threatened congressmen to pass laws requiring banks and others to make unqualified loans.
7. The man was a community organizer on the payroll of ACORN. His job was to train rabble-rousers how to coerce and intimidate banks into making these loans. Would you call that good experience to be president? Congressman or Senator maybe, but not President!!!!

Not surprised
Today the stock market Industrials went down 777 points.
Today the Democrat House failed to pass something billed as a "Rescue Package".
Why am I not surptised?
In 2000 President Bush inherited an economy in recession left over from the Clinton PRESIDENCY. Tax cuts invigorated the economy and for 6 years, in spite of the 9/11 attack,
unemployment was 4% and the market hit record highs.
The Gore hate campaign from 2000 never let up and President Bush has been under constant attack and blamed for everything bad, 9/11, Iraq, Katrina----anything.
So, in 2006 the Democrats got a majority in congress and we inherited two mentally deficient majority leaders in Pelosi and Dingy Harry.
Result: absolutely nothing accomplished by Congress and an approval rating of 8%. (Not Bush's fault)And the economy has slowly deteriorated, and gasoline went to over $4.00 per gallon. (Bush's fault)
With their majority in the House, THEY STILL COULD NOT NOT PASS THE RESCUE PACKAGE.

Just thinking
Dear friends, I have been thinking again, a dangerous situation.
But I come by it naturally, so don’t criticize me.
I have been watching TV today and listening to all the words the congressmen, Fed chief, and Secretary of the Treasury reguritated.
$700,000,000 is how much money? I don’t know.
Where is it coming from? I don’t know.
Where is it going? I don’t know.
Will it be paid back? I don’t know.
Will it really solve the problem? I don’t know.
What is the problem? I don’t know.
If we don’t know what the problem is, how will we know it is fixed? I don’t know.
Do I understand the problem as well as the congressmen, Fed chief, and Secretary of the Treasury? I think so.
Can I solve the problem? Definitely no!!
So we are left with an imbecilick Congress who will pass a bill intended to solve the problem, which will be followed by an imbecilick Congress passing a bill to solve the problems created by the first bill, which will be followed by an imbecilick Congress passing a bill to solve the problems created by the second bill, and so on and soforth.
Conclusion: You, my friend, the American taxpayer, will pay for it, your children and grandchildren will pay for it.
In the meantime a bunch of CEO’s will ride off in the sunset with their saddlebags full of your money.

I did and I was very impressed with Sarah’s answers.
But did you notice Charles Gibson’s glasses on the tip of his nose as he looked over them and down on Sarah. Gibson was condescending, brash, demanding. He was arrogantly delighting in his power position over this poor mayor from a small town. He had her cornered and at his mercy, and probably thinking his notoriety with making this first interview will help his next book sell millions of copies.
He thought.
As I recall, his brief interview with BO was as mealy mouthed as they come.
So sad. He would not talk to a man the way he talked to Sarah.

Her appearance put a stamp of approval on the statement below about her husband BO, Barrack Hussien Obama.
Examination of his U.S. Senate voting record reveals him to be a hard leftist. A little-reported letter from the candidate to the "LGBT community" (Lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender/transsexual people) declares Obama's enthusiastic solidarity with the radical homosexual-rights agenda. BO day in denver

Today is BO day in Denver. TGIF is tomorrow. Thank goodness.
All week it has been bragg on BO, endorse BO, praise BO, exhalt BO, revere BO, worship the new messiah BO, until finally the initials BO begin to really fit.
Still I wonder what has happened to the middle name Hussian?
Why has he dropped it? Why has the media chosen to ignore it?
Tonight you will hear about change. change! change! change! change! change! change! change! change! change! change! change! change! change! change!
Change what?
The economy? True the economy is not as good as President Bush’s first 6 years. It was great. Unemployment was at an all time low. The Dow Jones average hit all time highs. WHAT HAPPENED?
Well, for one thing the Democrats kept harping on the Iraq war, how Bush stole the election in 2000, how many millions do not have health care, can’t get an education, how poverty has increased, and how nothing is right about the Republicans.
They sold this bill of goods to enough people that in 2006 we ended up with a "we are going to fix everything" Democratic majority in the house and senate.
Please note: In two years they have fixed nothing and the economy is going down hill fast. We have ended up with the most incompetent Speaker of the house and Senate Majority leader we have ever had.
An with an approval rating of 8%!!!!!!
And it is president Bush’s fault.
They are telling us "With our Messiah BO will now be able to change America from what it is to what it should be."
Should be?
The son of a white woman and a so-called black man, (who abandoned him at an early age), raised by his single mother and grandparents has risen from the ashes. He was educated at an elite university few white people can afford, married a woman who says she loves America for the first time, (She also got a free education at the same university), lives in a multi-million dollar house, and honored by the State of Illinois by electing him to the United States Senate two years ago.
Now he has been nomonated as the Democratic candidate to run for President of the United States.
Change what?
America was founded on a belief in God and the moral principles of Christianity. Change that?
We have had a "goverment of the people, by the people, and for the people". Change that?
Would socialism be better? Would communism be better?
How about just a little socialism? Not much. just a little.
We (liberal democrats) know better how America should be. For one thing we have too many poor people. As we have told you and told you, to solve this we will take the money and property from the working people (haves) and give it to the unemployed, immigrants, and other poor people (havenots).
Then instead of having three classes of people, poor, middle class and upper class, we will only have two classes, those 100% dependent on government and Us!!! the elite!!!
Change what?
Some times change is good.
I change my underwear every day, more often if necessary. That is good change.
Some times change is bad.
I could decide not to wear underwear. That would be change. That would be bad change.
So, what are we getting with BO? Good or bad change?
Frankly, when he says something like the following, I get real worried:

Degeneres=degeneration
I noticed where Ellen Degeneration at age 50 married a 35 year old blond that he has been dating for 4 years.
He said I couldn't be happier. Now I have some one to cook for me and clean house.
Nothing was said about children, but I wonder why they waited this long to marry. Could it be his bride is pregnant and they got married for the anticipated child's sake.
The article did not say if the bride was taking his name or not.
I don't know if this is the first marriage for both or not, but they both wore white. He wore a white pants suite and she the traditional bridal gown.
The attending guests were a rogue gallery of Hollywood degenerates.

Strange day
Sometimes my rememberer kicks in and I remember something from long ago. Sometimes it is something that happened even before I was born.
Today I thought about Tom Jefferson's statement "A government big enough to give you every thing you want is big enough to take everything you got."
And that really sent me off in a tangent. I remembered such things as our CONSTITUTION AND BILL OF RIGHTS, AND GOD AND UNALIENABLE RIGHTS.
How wonderful it was in the beginning. Our nation was founded on Christian principles with a motto "In God we trust". It was on our money, the 10 commandments were in every courthouse and statehouse and on the Supreme Court building and in all the schools. Congress started each day with a prayer.
We welcomed immigrants who wanted to share our heritage, NOT change it. And America prospered and became strong. It also became compassionate, and was willing to share our good fortune with others. We believed in liberty and human rights, and the dignity of human beings.
Suddenly, as I looked around at America today, all this seemed like a dream.
God is no longer in the courthouse, or schools, or state houses. God and Christianity can be blasphemed, and the bible can be desecrated------but don't mess with Allah or the Koran.
And that makes me think about our two candidates for President. One is an American who believes in America and loves this country. The other one---I don't know. He says he wants to CHANGE America. How? Back like in the beginning? (I THINK NOT.) Or changes that will lead to the further destruction of our America, to a socialist, communistic America, to a muslim America, and the elimination of our "UNALIENABLE RIGHTS?"
I JUST HOPE THIS DREAM DOES NOT TURN INTO A NIGHTMARE.

(2008-07-20) — Republican presidential nominee John McCain today for the first time said he can now support a timeline to reduce the American presence in Iraq, specifically advocating the withdrawal from Iraq of Democrat presidential nominee Barack Obama, and several battalions of U.S. news anchors and reporters.
“It’s time to bring them home,” said Sen. McCain at a news conference attended by a journalism intern from the Des Moines Register. “The surge has worked, and it’s time to redeploy.”
Sen. McCain said bringing Sen. Obama home would help to ensure that “people in the U.S., who desperately need media attention, will get the help they deserve.”
“Our mainstream media forces are stretched too thin,” he said. “If news should break here in the homeland, who’s going to cover it? We’re vulnerable.”

Last nite Mexican-born Jose' Medellin was executed. How cruel.
In 1993 he raped and tortured two teenage girls in Houston, then killed them.
This is 2008. That was 15 years ago. During that time Texas has given him free room and board, free medical care, fed him and bought his clothes, and provided a "sitter" 24 hours a day, courtesy of Texas taxpayers.
All this benevolence cost about $30, 000/year or about $450,000 over the 15 year period.
Is Texas law kind, caring, and compassionate OR NOT?
Mexico "says" they don't believe in capital punishment, so maybe we should have returned him to Mexico and forget what he did. Later, then, he could slip through out porous border and repeat the crime.

Since when did we discard our laws and replace them with INTERNATIONAL LAW????

Today's topic is weather. 108 F. on Sunday, 107F. on Monday, estimate 105 F, today, Aug. 5, 2008.
The only worse, I guess, would be NO WEATHER AT ALL.
It has not rained at our house in weeks. The grass is turning brown because I can't water enough and I dread getting our next water bill. If it is what I think it will be, I plan to let the grass suffer like I do.

I been saying Al Gore is some kind of nut, but on second thought, I guess he is pretty smart.
He is making millions promoting his "global warming" theory. As PT Barnum said " there is a sucker born every minute", and Al has proven there are millions of them out there just waiting for some quack like Gore to come along, so they can prove what suckers they really are.
PS: The ocean may be rising but Al hasn't sold his beach fron house yet.
